- ➤ The Salvation Army in Lee County is operating homeless shelters to combat bitter cold weather as overnight lows in Fort Myers linger in the mid-40s. The shelter at 2400 Edison Ave offers limited beds (first-come, first-served) with capacity reassessed daily until Feb. 2. The News-Press
