GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lee County’s $325.48 million project will expand the Cape Coral Bridge from four lanes to six by 2031 to ease congestion for vehicles + pedestrians. The design phase finishes in 2026 and construction begins in 2027, improving travel over the Caloosahatchee River between Cape Coral and Fort Myers. WGCU
- ➤ Cape Coral sold nearly 50 acres of waterfront land for $20 million to develop a mixed-use project with a hotel, condos, stores, and a marina. The sale left $13.6 million for city projects, and developers will begin construction once permits from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are secured. ABC7
