  • Bike night returned last Saturday in southeast Cape Coral with a new layout that stations motorcycles in a lot on Southeast 47th Terrace to improve pedestrian safety and emergency access — some attendees expressed mixed reactions. The event will return on April 11.  NBC2

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Today, new Street Wok opened at Slipaway Food Truck Park in Cape Coral, replacing Chop It Up Sandwiches to offer fresh, from-scratch Asian dishes like crab rangoon and Mongolian beef. Owner Andreas Visilias, who also runs Lobster Chef, plans to add another taco truck soon (expanding his local lineup).  The News-Press

  • The Laboratory Theater of Florida & Theater Conspiracy will premiere 'Two Trains Running' by August Wilson on Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at its 1634 Woodford Ave venue, with free teen tickets available on Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and paid tickets on other evenings.  Florida Weekly

  • Lee County Commissioners honored Cape Coral High School graduate Capt. Daniel Eggers by dedicating a stretch of Veterans Memorial Parkway as Captain Daniel W. Eggers Memorial Highway; the designation, set on Nov. 18, acknowledges his service in Afghanistan and his legacy as he left behind a wife + two children.  The News-Press
