  • The McGregor Baptist Church Food Pantry in Fort Myers provided food to over 5,000 people last month and remains ready to serve growing local needs plus it is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 3 p.m.  WINK News

  • Mark and Tara Lukasik opened a bagel shop in Fort Myers in 1995 and built a business that survived hurricanes & economic slumps. With daughter Lauren as a partner, they expect the family shop to serve the community for decades to come.  ABC7
  • From January 2025 through January 2026, Google Trends data showed that The Pink Shell Beach Resort became the most searched domestic resort, ranking No. 1 in 10 states.   • The Southwest Florida Historical Society will host its annual Cracker Dinner fundraiser “Calusa, Creeks, and Crackers: 500 Years of Cattle History in South Florida” on Sat., Mar. 21 at Marion Hall, St. Cecilia Catholic Community in Fort Myers.   • Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe will open its gospel revue 'How I Got Over: A Gospel Revue' tomorrow, Feb. 18 at the Donnelly Theatre, featuring live music & spirited song-and-dance performances that celebrate gospel history; the run continues through March 29 with evening shows and weekend matinees.  WGCU
  • Calendar Girls of Southwest Florida perform over 200 shows yearly to support Dogs Inc. a nonprofit that trains service dogs for veterans and people with disabilities.   • Classical Christian Academy revived history on Friday when teachers, students and parents transformed the school gym into life-size displays of 20th Century events.   • Today, the Lee County School District presented its proposed 2026 Code of Conduct updates that include safety guidelines for weapon-like items (such as 3D guns) and measures to address aggression, along with a review process for repeated alternative enrollment.
