  • US Postal Service workers from Southwest Florida plan to rally outside the Naples Post Office on Goodlette Road at 10 a.m. today to protest possible job cuts and a move to privatize the agency—officials claim the service loses 78 billion dollars annually and could cut 10,000 jobs nationwide.  WINK News
  • At a Fort Myers emergency city council meeting, members unanimously approved a new ICE and FMPD training and enforcement partnership that left many residents disappointed. Fifty-one public comments were heard and critics called the agreement too vague—while some supporters argued it would boost law enforcement accountability.  Fox 4
  • Today, after days of public outcry, Fort Myers City Council approved an agreement allowing police to work with ICE by a unanimous vote of 7 to 0. Councilmember Fred Burson said his vote reflected the support of his (Ward 5) residents while others changed their votes after legal advice and did not explain their decisions.  Fox 4
