- ➤ A Cape Coral man was arrested Monday afternoon in Fort Myers after leading police on a high-speed chase and being found with synthetic drugs & a 9mm handgun; he faces charges for controlled substance possession and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement. ABC7

- ➤ Nominees for the Lee County High School Student of the Week competition for April 21-24 have been announced and voting is open until 5 p.m. on April 24. Genesis Gomez of North Fort Myers High School, Taylor Davison of Evangelical Christian School, and Sara Huda of Fort Myers High School are recognized for academic and extracurricular achievements—voters are invited to select their favorite. - ➤ Lee County Utilities issued a precautionary boil water notice for about 580 residences along Orange River Boulevard from 9701 to 10271 after a contractor damaged a water main—customers currently do not have water. Repairs were expected to be completed Monday afternoon and residents must boil water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth until tests confirm safety—officials expect the notice to lift Thursday afternoon.
