- ➤ On Saturday night, Fort Myers police arrested Jon’Tavis Scurry in connection with a shooting near Central Avenue — Maple Avenue that injured one person who is in stable condition. WINK News
- ➤ On Saturday night, a shooting near Fowler Street and Linhart Avenue in Fort Myers left one person injured while police took one suspect into custody (a second suspect remains at large). ABC7

- ➤ USA Today announced its 10 best dinner theaters with two Florida venues, including Fort Myers’ Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, which ranked 10th, while Jacksonville’s Alhambra Theatre & Dining took first. - ➤ An archival aerial tour shows Fort Myers history using images from 1940 to 1992. - ➤ Sanibel Island is excited by a possible first crocodile nest that may signal the recovery of the species, as the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation observed a crocodile scratching the ground in a backyard. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says nesting normally starts in late April and early May, which could lead to more crocodiles on the island. WINK News
