- ➤ Midwest Food Bank Florida in Fort Myers announced on May 13 that a grant from The League Club will expand its Hope Pack Program, which supplies nutritious weekend meals to children. The funds will help more than 200 nonprofit partners deliver fresh produce, protein and staples to local families. The News-Press

- ➤ Costco will build a new store on a 55-acre site near Colonial Boulevard and Plantation Road after acquiring and rezoning it. - ➤ The City of Fort Myers broke ground today on the Wellfield Expansion Project to improve water supply following Hurricane Ian outages. - ➤ The Fort Myers Housing Authority will open waitlists Monday, May 18 (8 to 10 a.m.) for six Project-Based Voucher Program properties across Lee County. Eligible residents can apply online for units available on a first come, first served basis in communities for families and seniors. WGCU
