- ➤ The Fort Myers Police Department responded to a fatal bicycle crash on Palm Beach Boulevard where a vehicle struck a cyclist at 6:18 a.m. on Thursday — officers redirected traffic while securing the scene. WINK News
- ➤ At least one person died in a crash on Palm Beach Boulevard before 6:20 a.m. near Marsh Avenue—Fort Myers police said the driver remained at the scene while westbound Palm Beach Boulevard between Marsh Avenue and Van Buren Street was closed. ABC7
- ➤ The Fort Myers Police Department said a vehicle hit a bicyclist on Palm Beach Boulevard at 6:18 a.m. Thursday+a bicyclist died as officers redirected traffic near the intersection of Palm Beach Boulevard and Van Buren Street. WINK News
- ➤ A house fire on Wednesday morning in San Carlos Park destroyed a home on Caloosa Trace Circle and led to the death of firefighter Mike McCarty while firefighters, deputies, and EMS responded and neighbors reported a loud explosion — the cause is under investigation. WINK News
