ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Charlotte County Fire & EMS are battling a 30-acre brush fire on U.S. 41 and Zemel Road on Monday near the Charlotte-Lee County line; no structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.  WINK News
  • Multiple agencies are searching for three people who went into the water near Fort Myers Beach, and Florida Fish & Wildlife is assisting in the rescue. A reporter is on scene as the search continues.  ABC7

  • Cape Coral is exploring a water transportation option using its 400+ miles of canals. Economic development manager Sharon Woodberry said officials plan to adjust mobility fees to help fund projects after 2.2 million visits were counted from April 2025 to March 2026 (residents support the idea amid high gas prices).  WINK News
