- ➤ The Fort Myers Police Department arrested Luis Alejandro Velasquez Herrera after he allegedly drove under the influence and crashed into La Mexicana Taco Stand on Palm Beach Boulevard on Monday—injuring nine people who were taken to a local hospital for treatment. WINK News
- ➤ Fort Myers police arrested Yanko Romero at Harbor Grand boat ramp after gunfire killed 25-year-old Alex Johnson on Sunday—authorities in Inkster are now investigating whether he is linked to his former roommate’s 2023 stabbing death. ABC7
- ➤ Cape Coral man George Samuel Broughton (49) was arrested in 2020 under Operation Block Party for trafficking 400 grams of cocaine and fleeing authorities, and he will serve a 30-year prison sentence along with $250,000 in fines. The News-Press
