- ➤ State Attorney Amira Fox announced that second-degree murder charges have been filed against Joseph Carrozza in connection with the 2016 cold case that involved the shooting of a 22-year-old victim at Cypress Court apartment complex — police said key witness evidence was gathered over more than a year and noted that Carrozza was previously arrested in 2021 for an attack at Days Inn. - ➤ A Cape Coral man, Johnathan Campillo, 37, was arrested after he allegedly fired his gun in a road rage incident Saturday at 8 p.m. when his white pickup tailgated and discharged three or four shots near a driver, and he now faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a firearm from a vehicle within 1,000 feet of a person & two adults and a child in the victim's car said they feared for their lives. - ➤ On Monday, July 21st, heat advisories were in effect for Southwest Florida from noon to 6 p.m.—the heat index reached between 105 and 110 degrees as rain briefly eased the heat, and Tuesday will bring more showers and scattered storms as tropical moisture moves in. ABC7
