- ➤ Fort Myers' Community Redevelopment Agency approved a $1 million grant on Wednesday to help downtown businesses pay for flood repairs and prevention by reimbursing 75% of costs up to $100,000 per business. The grant comes from the Downtown Trust Fund and targets companies in the Downtown Redevelopment Area that began hurricane preparations on June 1 after suffering damage from storms like Ian, Milton and Helene. - ➤ Fort Myers' Edison and Ford Winter Estates earned American Alliance of Museums accreditation on July 17th—an honor granted to only 60 museums in Florida that recognizes its high standards.
