- ➤ An 86-year-old man was arrested for DUI manslaughter after he drove the wrong way on Interstate 75 near mile marker 139 in Lee County on September 29, causing a head-on crash that killed a 56-year-old woman—he now faces charges including vehicular homicide and DUI causing property damage. Fox 4
- ➤ Lee County detectives located Leonel Duarte using an Apple AirTag—placed in a polyglass roll by a roofing worker—and he is accused of stealing 40 rolls of polyglass from construction sites in Verdana Village and Buckingham, with 51 rolls later found and returned as he remains in jail. ABC7
- ➤ Larry Wayne Farmer, an 86-year-old Cape Coral man, was arrested on July 29 at Lee County Jail—he faces DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, driving with a revoked license causing death, and two counts of DUI causing property damage after he drove the wrong way on I-75 in 2024 and collided with a car driven by a 56-year-old woman who later died.
