- ➤ Emergency repairs on the Wilson Pigott Bridge in North Fort Myers caused hours-long delays on State Road 31 on Monday as drivers were diverted and faced a car crash that added extra delay — FDOT has not set a reopening time yet. ABC7
- ➤ A woman rescued 11-year-old Mia Garcia at Lakes Park in south Fort Myers when Mia slipped into the lake collecting shells just after 10 a.m. on Saturday; Mia, who has autism, struggled in the slimy water until the rescuer reached her. ABC7
