- ➤ 31 Produce in Alva announced on Sunday that it will close on Sept. 21 when eminent domain forces it to vacate due to a new road — the farm stand has served the North Fort Myers community since 2008. ABC7
- ➤ Anthony Auliano now owns Gino’s Pizza on Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral and has changed the menu to offer creative specialty pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and cheesesteaks inspired by his South Philly roots. He aims to create a friendly neighborhood spot that recalls his childhood memories of getting slices (open 4–8 p.m. Mondays, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday). - ➤ The Gulf Coast Storm Team is monitoring an area of disorganized storms in the Atlantic that has a 10% chance of forming a tropical depression over the next two days and a 70% chance over the next week — the wave will move west-northwest while battling dry air.
