- ➤ At the Fort Myers gun show, customers have flocked for tax-free purchases as Florida’s Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday offers savings on firearms, ammunition and outdoor gear until December 31. - ➤ The Fort Myers Beach Art Association opened its Plein Air Art Exhibit on Sept. 25 at its new gallery on McGregor Blvd in Fort Myers and it will run until Oct. 24, showcasing local art that captures scenic views. The exhibit is open Thursday through Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m.—the group relocated after Hurricane Ian damaged its old gallery—and a 75th-anniversary celebration exhibit will begin on Oct. 27.
