- ➤ Farmer Mike's U-Pick Fall Fest offers fall fun and family-friendly activities with a five-acre pumpkin patch+ sunflower field and two corn mazes, one turning haunted on Friday and Saturday nights, at its Fort Myers and Bonita Springs locations running this weekend and next. Farmer Mike announced that industry night will begin at 6 p.m. this Thursday in Bonita Springs. NBC2

- ➤ Halloween week in Southwest Florida offers a variety of events from haunted walks and corn mazes to live concerts until Oct. 31 in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Bonita Springs. Locals can choose events that include timed entries and donation options (ticket pricing and schedules vary) and enjoy family-friendly as well as adult-themed activities (venue details differ). - ➤ Anthony Tineo of Kumo Dance hosts monthly salsa socials in Bonita Springs and Cape Coral that bring together dancers from many cultures—these events will continue in November with socials on Nov 1 in Cape Coral, Nov 8 in Bonita Springs, and a fundraiser on Nov 14 to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society. - ➤ The 40th annual Oktoberfest will be held next weekend in Cape Coral and is hosted by the German American Social Club, offering German food, live bands from Germany, and family friendly activities. - ➤ The new 2026 Hooters Calendar is on sale at local Hooters locations and online, featuring Fort Myers bartender Emily Hagedorn as Miss April and Naples bartender Ashly Reyes for November. - ➤ Lee County Department of Transportation announced that LeeWay transponders will now work in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas — but they are not accepted in Georgia due to a policy change, and officials are working to restore Georgia’s service.
