- ➤ The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 66 opened a new larger hangar at Page Field on Saturday after over 20 years of hard work and raising more than $250,000 (a milestone for local youth flight training). The new space will help expand its Young Eagles program and give more kids a chance to fly. WINK News

- ➤ Fire crews from South Trail Fire & Rescue and Iona McGregor Fire Department fought a brush fire between Costco and Cypress Lake Drive on Saturday afternoon, and heavy brush—thick layers of pine needles—made it hard to control but they extinguished the flames and remaining hot spots. ABC7

- ➤ A 68-year-old Collier County man, Matthew Bailey, was found alive on Saturday morning in heavy brush inside The Isles—where family, volunteers, and law enforcement had searched for eight days—and he was taken to Naples Community Hospital for treatment. WINK News

- ➤ On Saturday, people lined up as early as 2 a.m. at Lee Dental Care on Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers for a free dental care event where 30 local dental professionals provided cleanings, extractions and other services until 2 p.m. Dr. Paul Uliasz said the event also offered free haircuts, food, drink and mental health information + support from a local food bank.
