- ➤ Neighbors in North Fort Myers are asking for the return of a memorial honoring teen Nikola Knight, who died in a house fire last month. Volunteers are requested to help restore the tribute or else a permanent memorial will be built off McDaniel Drive. WINK News
- ➤ Local animal advocates propose a $6 annual household tax to fund four low-cost spay and neuter clinics in Lee County + they collected over 700 signatures and will meet county commissioners next week to ease shelter overcrowding and lower euthanasia rates. Fox 4

- ➤ Fort Myers resident Father Arnold D'Achille, a former Benedictine monk and parish priest, transcribed from memory the Gregorian chants he sang in retirement (at 92). - ➤ Dunbar Middle School in Fort Myers improved student punctuality as 96% of morning buses now arrive on time thanks to new schedules and extra drivers; a recent check showed one bus was four minutes late, a change that English teacher Heidi Doxey described as like night & day from last year. ABC7
