- ➤ Fort Myers Police said a road rage incident on Winkler Avenue Monday escalated from a traffic accident into aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after a black SUV hit a Nissan—prompting an investigation as one driver now wants to press charges while no arrests have been made. ABC7
- ➤ A suspicious package was reported near University Village close to FGCU at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday—law enforcement, including police and the sheriff’s bomb squad, secured the area and advised students to steer clear while the investigation continued. WINK News
